Synopsis[]
Poppy and Ian split the pre-production on the new expansion into separate working groups. Brad uproots the office workflow in an effort to help David find a date. Jo assists C.W. to fight a breech of contract suit with his book publisher.
Plot[]
With the important Stage Gate meeting with Montreal looming, Poppy and Ian find themselves so diametrically opposed on the nature of the new expansion that they split into two working groups. Ian's group, whose core is comprised of Phil's beleaguered art design team, is called Zeus, while Poppy has pulled Anthony and company into team Hera. Both teams find themselves having to content with erratic and illogical leaders.
Even Dana and Rachel — still smarting from their failure with the Grouchy Goat fiasco — are split. Ian gets Rachel, in a bid to have her strident brand of honesty inspire him, while Poppy finds solace in Dana's borderline sycophancy.
Meanwhile, Brad has the perfect solution. He tries to convince the two creative leads to Crete a Battle Royale mode, just like all the other big game franchises. When they both refuse, he turns his attention instead to David's pathetic attempt at dating. Noting his colleague's bumbling attempts at using dating apps, he spins several app-based solutions David's way, eventually using members of the staff — including a none-too-happy Carol — as live respondents on a beta version of a brand new dating app. Although this attempt fails miserably, Brad seems to win the day by convincing Poppy to make a Battle Royale mode just in time for the meeting with Montreal.

Trivia[]
- The episode ends with an odd credit sequence in which either David Brittlesbee or David Hornsby performs "Run-Around" by Blues Traveler. As it's performed straight to camera, It's ambiguous whether it's the character breaking the fourth wall or the actor using his power as executive producer to throw in a musical break.
- As with most episodes, "#YumYum" is replete with pointed pop-culural references and metaphors -- including allusions to loot boxes, burlap sacks, seagulls, Shaq, Orson Scott Card, Jo Rowling and others.
- The episode derives its name from David's frequent social media hashtag.
